On Thursday, 31 May 2018, in the afternoon at 16:53, in Kazlų Rūdos municipality, on the Vinčai–Pilviškiai–Vilkaviškis national road (kilometre 13), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania R 124 LA, a Wielton NW24S and a MTZ Belarus-82. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Scania (26 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). The MTZ had recorded faults (kito konstrukcijos elemento).
