On Monday, 4 June 2018, in the evening at 20:22, in Vilnius, on Ribiškių Didžioji street, at the junction with Juodasis kel., a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf, a car and a Toyota Avensis Verso. Three people were injured — the 35-year-old driver of a car (treated as an outpatient), a 66-year-old passenger of the Toyota (severely injured, hospitalized) and the 74-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (27 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
