On Monday, 16 July 2018, at night at 23:54, in Plungės district municipality, Žemaičių Kalvarijos town, on Alsėdžių street near No. 24, at a yard or parking-lot exit, an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (3.16‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
