On Saturday, 28 July 2018, in the evening at 18:34, in Utenos district municipality, Mikėnų village, on the Kariūnai–Duokiškis–Vilučiai–Kušliai regional road (kilometre 16.05), an Audi A4 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.31‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 26-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk (2.60‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
