On Sunday, 29 July 2018, in the evening at 17:35, in Prienų district municipality, Papilvio village, on Jūrės road near No. 10, a Mitsubishi Galant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.58‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
