On Monday, 6 August 2018, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Molėtų district municipality, Antalakajos village, a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He refused a sobriety test and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
