On Friday, 10 August 2018, in the afternoon at 12:30, in Kaunas, on Eivenių street near No. 2, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Renault 19 and a Hyundai i 10. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.08‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
