On Friday, 24 August 2018, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, Akademijos town, on Stoties street near No. 9, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (0.09‰ blood alcohol).
