On Saturday, 25 August 2018, at night at around 4:00, in Kauno district municipality, Sitkūnų village, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road, an Audi A4 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Audi, who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
