On Tuesday, 28 August 2018, in the evening at 17:20, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Paraseinys–Alėjai–Lioliai–Kelmė regional road (kilometre 27.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf, a Hyundai Getz and a Toyota Land Cruiser. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
