On Wednesday, 5 September 2018, in the evening at 17:30, in Vilnius, on Mileišiškių street, at the junction with Viršupio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 D and a Skoda Roomster. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
