Iveco truck and BMW crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Monday, 10 September 2018, in the afternoon at 12:20, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 110), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Iveco, a BMW 320 and a Scharfen 11. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Iveco (37 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
