On Thursday, 13 September 2018, in the evening at 20:30, in Klaipėda, on Pietinė street near No. 3, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane, a Toyota RAV4 and a Saab 9-3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.63‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
