On Tuesday, 18 September 2018, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on Gedimino street near No. 78, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Renault Kangoo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations. He evaded sobriety testing, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
