On Friday, 12 October 2018, in the evening at around 19:00, in Vilnius, on Šilo street near No. 34, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Colt and a Mercedes-Benz E 280 CDI 4MATIC. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (40 years of driving experience). He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
