On Monday, 15 October 2018, in the evening at 17:30, in Vilnius, on Šilo street near No. 5A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (7 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
