On Monday, 22 October 2018, in the afternoon at 11:50, in Kauno district municipality, Narsiečių village, on Sodų street, at the junction with Vyčio Kryžiaus street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 2 and a Hyundai Santa FE. Two people were injured — the 29-year-old driver of the Hyundai (treated as an outpatient) and a 58-year-old passenger of the Mazda (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Mazda (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
