On Tuesday, 13 November 2018, in the morning at 10:58, in Zarasų district municipality, Salako town, on Daugailių street near No. 2, at the junction with Vilniaus street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 206 and a Ford Mondeo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (2.47‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
