On Friday, 16 November 2018, in the evening at around 20:00, in Rietavo municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 70.30), a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a MAN TGS and a Nissan Sunny. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the MAN (25 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober.
