On Sunday, 25 November 2018, at night at around 2:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 127.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz 816 and a Ford Focus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. The 23-year-old driver of the Ford had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was fog, the road surface was wet.
