On Sunday, 2 December 2018, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Ašigalio street near No. 43, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Chrysler Town & Country and a Ford S-MAX. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Chrysler (13 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
