On Monday, 10 December 2018, in the evening at around 17:00, in Druskininkų municipality, on Veisiejų street near No. 31, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Scania and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Scania (35 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
