On Wednesday, 19 December 2018, in the morning at around 10:00, in Tauragės district municipality, on Paberžių street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault Laguna and a Fiat Punto. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Renault (20 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
