On Friday, 21 December 2018, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 109), a Ford Mondeo ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Ford (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered.
