On Thursday, 3 January 2019, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on Kovo 11-osios street near No. 25A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Touran, a BMW and a Mazda 3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
