On Tuesday, 8 January 2019, in the evening at 17:24, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr. near No. 180, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V40 and a Mini Cooper. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (2.66‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
