Drunk Mercedes-Benz driver in crash with Saab on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Sunday, 13 January 2019, in the morning at 6:44, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 105.70), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz A160 and a Saab 9-3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 69-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (48 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (0.80‰ blood alcohol).
