On Thursday, 17 January 2019, in the evening at 17:12, in Klaipėdos city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 306.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz and a Ford S-MAX. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (26 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
