On Friday, 18 January 2019, in the morning at 7:24, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 26.27), a BMW 525 D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
