On Tuesday, 29 January 2019, in the morning at 9:06, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr. near No. 100C, a Volvo registered in Poland hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volvo (11 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered.
