On Saturday, 9 February 2019, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kretingos district municipality, on Tiekėjų street near No. 56, a Volvo FH12 registered in Russia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Volvo (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
