On Saturday, 9 February 2019, in the evening at 19:45, in Šiauliai, on Žemaitės street near No. 64A, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Neoplan N 116 registered in Latvia and a Mercedes-Benz C 200 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Neoplan (34 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
