On Saturday, 9 February 2019, in the evening at 21:30, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 297), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4, a Fiat and a Fiat Ulysse. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. She had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
