On Saturday, 23 February 2019, in the morning at 9:23, in Tauragės district municipality, on T. Ivanausko street, at the junction with Naujoji street, a BMW 320D registered in France rolled over. Two people were injured — the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (hospitalized) and a 28-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who was driving a vehicle with faults the traffic rules prohibit driving with. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
