Drunk Mazda driver and Fiat crash on the Onuškis–Butrimonys–Punia road
On Tuesday, 16 April 2019, in the evening at 20:24, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Onuškis–Butrimonys–Punia regional road (kilometre 20.60), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 5 and a Fiat Stilo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Mazda, who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (0.86‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 36-year-old passenger of the Mazda was drunk. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
