On Wednesday, 17 April 2019, in the evening at 20:55, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Anykščiai–Troškūnai–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 27.50), an Audi 80 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.32‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. A 40-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk (1.40‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
