On Saturday, 20 April 2019, in the evening at 22:20, in Varėnos district municipality, Paversekio village, on Versekos street near No. 1, an Audi A6 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
