On Monday, 22 April 2019, in the evening at 20:25, in Kaunas, on Baltų pr. near No. 2, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Rover 45 and a Solaris Urbino 12. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Rover, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
