On Tuesday, 7 May 2019, in the morning at 8:25, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 87.13), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and an Opel Astra Station Wagon. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (10 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
