On Monday, 20 May 2019, in the afternoon at 15:23, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 42.14), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF TE95XF, a Hyundai Terracan and a BMW X5 registered in Belarus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the DAF (26 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
