On Tuesday, 4 June 2019, in the evening at 20:57, in Kaunas, on Žemaičių pl. near No. 38, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Laguna and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
