On Tuesday, 2 July 2019, in the afternoon at 11:42, in Rietavo municipality, Lėgų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 253.70), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 TDS, a Fliegl SDS 350 and a MAN TGA 18.440. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
