Drunk motorcyclist and Volkswagen crash at J. Basanavičiaus and Rimgaudo streets, Vilkaviškis
On Friday, 2 August 2019, in the evening at 20:38, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street near No. 34, at the junction with Rimgaudo street, a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Honda CB 125 and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Honda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.44‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 25-year-old passenger of the Honda was drunk (1.17‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
