On Saturday, 31 August 2019, at night at 23:38, in Alytaus district municipality, Medukštos village, on Medžiotojų street, at the junction with Dzūkijos street, an Opel hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Opel (11 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. She was drunk (1.36‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
