On Sunday, 1 September 2019, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr. near No. 18, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 D registered in Great Britain and an Opel Insignia Sports Tourer SW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. She had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
