Mercedes-Benz truck and two other vehicles crash on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda road
On Wednesday, 23 October 2019, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 91), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz, a Ford Focus, a MAN TGA 18.440 and a Schmitz ZKO18L. One person was injured — the 49-year-old driver of the Ford (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (4 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
