On Monday, 28 October 2019, at night at around 0:00, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Raseiniai–Šilinė national road (kilometre 9.64), a Ford Mondeo ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Ford (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
