On Friday, 1 November 2019, in the evening at 20:57, in Utenos district municipality, Polekniškio village, on the Daugailiai–Šlepečiai–Salakas regional road (kilometre 4.07), a Nissan Almera rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Nissan, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.63‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
