On Monday, 4 November 2019, in the morning at 10:20, in Tauragės district municipality, Kirklių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 207.50), a Volvo S80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
