On Saturday, 9 November 2019, in the evening at 19:45, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 24.25), on a bridge, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Laguna registered in Latvia and a Scania R440LB6X2MLB registered in Russia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Renault (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
